Maintaining good health and wellness is an essential part of living a balanced and fulfilling life. Here are seven tips to help you stay on track with your health goals:

  1. Stay Hydrated: 🌊 Drinking plenty of water throughout the day is essential for keeping your body functioning properly. Aim for at least 8 glasses a day or more, depending on your activity level and environment.


  2. Eat Balanced Meals: 🍎🌽 A healthy diet is the foundation of good health. Focus on eating a variety of whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Avoid processed foods and added sugars as much as possible.


  3. Get Regular Exercise: 🏋️‍♂️ Incorporating physical activity into your daily routine is crucial for maintaining a healthy body and mind. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week. This can include walking, cycling, yoga, or any activity you enjoy.


  4. Prioritize Sleep: 🛌 Quality sleep is just as important as diet and exercise for overall health. Aim for 7-9 hours of restful sleep each night to allow your body and mind to recharge.


  5. Manage Stress: 🙌 Chronic stress can take a toll on your health. Practice stress-reducing techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, or spending time in nature to maintain emotional balance.


  6. Stay Socially Connected: 💑 Strong social connections contribute to better mental health and longevity. Make time to nurture relationships with friends and family and participate in community activities.


  7. Get Natural Sunlight and Vitamin D: ☀️ Spending time outside, weather permitting, is a great way to boost your vitamin D levels and improve your mood. Be mindful of sun exposure by avoiding sun damage and checking your local UV index before heading outdoors.

​You can safely enjoy being outside! UVI 1-2 is low, which generally means it's safe to be outdoors unprotected.

3 to 6

Seek shade during midday hours! Slip on a shirt, apply quality and appropriate sunscreen and wear a hat! The World Health Organisation recommends protecting our skin from the sun when the UVI is 3 or higher. Reduce time in the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

7 and above

Avoid being outside during midday hours! Make sure you seek shade! A shirt, sunscreen, and a hat are a must! This UVI is a high risk of harm from unprotected sun exposure.
