Meet Dr. Nicky Rieks, DACM, L.Ac. & Founder

Dr. Nicky Rieks, DACM, is a licensed Acupuncture practitioner in Minnesota through the MN Board of Medical Practice.

 

I strive to both educate and heal my patients, empowering them to live better and healthier lives.

My approach is a combination of both eastern and western methods. If you need positive, energetic, and caring Integrative Acupuncture, please don’t hesitate to reach out to find out how I can help you restore and revitalize yourself. A variety of techniques may be used, such as acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, and herbal medicine, either individually or in combination with other treatments, to promote faster healing.

Dr. Nicky loves delicious food, travel adventures, spending time in nature, reading, good business, and anything made with love. And, of course, her pets Izzy, the dog, and Ron & Neville, her house panthers.

MISSION

I want my patients to take control of their own healing. I want them to understand how powerful their minds and bodies really are, and how each organ and symptom is part of a larger system. Education

Dr. Nicky Rieks, DACM, is a licensed practitioner of Acupuncture

in the state of Minnesota through the

MN Board of Medical Practice.

 

  • In 2019, Dr. Nicky advanced her education through the Pacific College of Health & Science's Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine program, as learning is a continuous passion.

  • Holds a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA, where she underwent rigorous clinical and didactic training. Dr. Nicky's experienced training focuses on the integration of Eastern medicine into the Western medical model.

  • Diplomat of Acupuncture and nationally board-certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

  • Studied acupuncture in China at Chengdu University Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Shanghai University Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. These hospitals apply the Chinese model in utilizing the best of traditional acupuncture and herbal treatments in conjunction with modern drugs.

  • Dr. Nicky holds a certification in Massage Therapy from Bellevue Massage School in Washington.

  • Certified in Microneedling for Acupuncturists by the world-renowned Michelle Gellis.

  • Bachelor of Science Degree from St. Cloud State University.

  • And an ongoing plethora of continuing education courses over the many years.

Dr. Nicky also shared her passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine as an Adjunct Instructor at CenterPoint Massage & Shiatsu Therapy School & Clinic in St. Louis Park, MN, before its closure in 2020.
